Capabilities, which opened in September 2005, provided 5,000 square feet of unique and
practical products from mobility equipment and adapative tools for the everyday to fitness and strength training.
We had products to assist with hundreds of common and uncommon conditions. In addition, there were lotions, teas,
pillows and even a section with unique toys and ideas for kids.
Capabilities one-of-a-kind design encouraged experimentation. There were four 12x12 rooms inside the store,
a kitchen, a bathroom, a living room and a bedroom, all outfitted with an array of products usable at home. This
approach offered many ideas of how to use the products and of just how much choice there is. Capabilities also provided
information about local resources who can help find solutions to numerous health-related issues. There was also a
500 square foot conference room for use by anyone in search of meeting space.
We closed Capabilities in 2010, unable to weather the recession.
